Mr. Havens is currently the principal at Franklin Elementary School. He was born and raised in Wadsworth. He delivered the Akron Beacon Journal and collected my newspapers under the Strand marquee and delivered to many businesses downtown. He has taught and /or was
a student in all of the schools in Wadsworth with the exception of the new middle school. He is  the current president of The Izaak Walton League of Wadsworth; one of the founders and current members of the Scholarship Foundation of Wadsworth; past president of the Medina County Principals' Association; a graduate of the Ohio's Principals' Leadership Academy; finally, a current member of Main Street Wadsworth serving on the events committee.
