Board Member
Dr. Joseph Arpad is a retired professor of American Studies with a specialty in community development. He graduated from WHS in 1955 and was inducted into its Academic Hall of Fame in 1999 as a charter honoree. He currently serves as the Chair of the WHS Alumni Association, as the Chair of the MSW Design Committee, as a Board Member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board, as 3rd Vice President of the Wadsworth Lions Club, and as a member of the MSW Economic Development Committee and the MSW Events Committee. With his wife, Dr. Susan Arpad, he has previously been active with Habitat for Humanity in California, serving as Executive Director of a USDA Empowerment Zone/ Enterprise Community and Project Director of a HUD-funded Rural Development Community.
